About Castleford Tigers Foundation
The Castleford Tigers Foundation is the official charitable arm of Castleford Tigers RLFC, based at the iconic Wheldon Road ground, The OneBore Stadium. Deeply connected to both the club and Castleford's rich heritage, the Foundation draws on nearly a century of rugby league pride to deliver meaningful change across the Five Towns. Castleford's history stretches back to Roman Britain as Lagentium and later flourished as a mining and industrial hub in West Yorkshire. That strong sense of community endures today, with Castleford Tigers founded in 1926, remaining a symbol of local pride. The Foundation builds on this legacy by using rugby league to inspire, educate, and empower people of all ages. We work with all ages of our local community, from young children to older generations, offering safe, inclusive opportunities that promote health, learning, and personal growth. We are dedicated to staying connected to our community to tackle health inequalities and strengthen local wellbeing.
