Your Back Yard is a Headingley based social enterprise. We help communities identify, fund, and manage projects to improve their local areas. We aim to provide a range of activities and opportunities for people living in the most deprived areas of Leeds,
Your Back Yard is a dedicated social enterprise based in Headingley, Leeds, working since 2013 to enhance community life by providing a variety of opportunities for individuals, particularly older adults, to engage in healthier, more active lifestyles. The organization helps communities identify, secure funding for, and manage improvements to essential community facilities such as parks, community buildings, and play areas. By spearheading initiatives like walking sports, online exercise classes, and providing digital inclusion sessions, they foster a more connected and vibrant community. Their proactive approach also includes area-based planning and the creation of feasibility studies to meet the evolving needs of local residents.
