Qigong

Qigong practices can be classified as martial, medical, or spiritual.

An Overview of Qigong

All Qigong styles have three things in common: they all involve a posture, breathing techniques, and mental focus. Qigong came from two separate words, Qi and Gong. Qi means breathing/meditation and imagination and in Chinese Qi means energy. Gong means movement, exercise, practise. Therefore combining the two words together means using imagination to lead your breathing through physical movement to keep fit.

Benefits

The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong reduce stress, build stamina, and increase vitality.
