Yachtmaster is appropriate for boaters who have completed the DaySkipper course or who have a background of sailing, motor cruising, or offshore racing. The knowledge gained through this course is essential in order in order to sail or cruise safely, day and night, and to pass the sea based RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore examinations. The course is tough and not appropriate for novices who would struggle.
