Football Coach

Danby Rovers Disability Football Club are looking for a volunteer to run football sessions on Mondays 6-8pm, Wednesdays 6-7pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm.

The main responsibilities of the volunteer is to:

  • To present themselves in a professional manner at all times
  • To plan sessions in advance of session times
  • To deliver a football session
  • Arrive in appropriate attire for coaching
  • Arrive to sessions with a plan for the session
  • Attend meetings and workshops when requested by the club

Being a volunteer requires some essential criteria in order to be successful, especially at a disability sports club. Danby Rovers are in search of someone who is punctual to all training sessions and gives prior notice if they cannot attend a session. Additionally, the volunteer needs to keep in mind that it is a disability club and therefore individuality is respected.

The volunteer must have or are willing to work towards a Level 1 or 2 football coaching qualification and a disability players qualification. If the volunteer does not have a DBS check, then they must be willing to have one which will be paid for by Danby Rovers.

To find out more and express your interest simply email phoebe.austin@yorkshiresport.org. Up to £100 training incentive could be available once 10 hours of volunteering successfully completed. Speak to Phoebe for details.
