Volunteer Assistant Basketball Coach

The role is to assist the Head Coach with set up and supervising children during the session. Ideally minimum level 1 qualified but not essential as long as you are confident in demonstrating techniques to small groups, so must have played on a regular basis previously. Full DBS check will be required if not already held, with the potential opportunity to earn Basketball England qualification.

How would you like to gain experience in the Community of coaching basketball to mixed groups of children aged 7 – 14 years?

The role is to assist the Head Coach with set up and supervising children during the session. Ideally level 1 qualified but not essential as long as you are confident in demonstrating techniques to small groups so must have played on a regular basis previously. We have a number of sessions that run in various locations where we would benefit from an additional assistant coach.

Locations include:

- Horsforth High School

- Mount St Marys Catholic School

- St Aidan's, Harrogate

- Prince Henry's, Otley

- Roundhay High School

- Carr Manor Community School

- Lawnswood High

- Cardinal Heenan Catholic School

- Leeds Beckett University, Headingley Campus

The majority of the sessions are between 3pm – 6pm but do have some during school time, mostly afternoons.
