Check out the Campaigns page

Yes - it's December! Time for another chance for people in communications to learn what is going on across the region, with a focus on whats new in movement physical activity and sport.

It's a monthly snapshot of things that have changed on our Campaigns page. This resource tries to bring together all the different ways we are asked change behaviours and save the world, one nudge at a time.

So, what's happening?

Sport England Campaign updates

We all know the winter months are going to be difficult to everyone. The Sport England focus for the next few months and the emphasis of activity will be on planning for spring and beyond when days are getting longer, the weather is (hopefully) improving and people are more likely to be considering getting active again.

Active Partnerships will meet with Sport England for a marketing planning group on December 8 and I will update the campaigns page. We expect to see a bigger national push around the time of the Easter holidays. If you would like us to raise any topics of discussion with Sport England campaigns team, just drop me a line.

Activity finders

We had a bit of a breakthrough with Openactive data systems, and now national activity finders should be sharing all activities uploaded to our finder or other Openactive finders. The goal is to make booking a dance class as easy as booking a hotel room and we are now looking how we can make targeted activity finders to help groups and organisations.

Also

  •   Public Health England Campaigns
  •   Local campaigns across the nine districts, communication groups and workplace schemes.
  •   Groups working to bring together the comms conversations across the two counties.
