About NCS Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders

NCS Team Leader
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
• To be responsible for up to 15 young people in a team; to provide the supervision, motivation and inspiration to help your team succeed and enjoy the NCS experience.
• To keep your team of NCS young people focussed and on track with the programme.
• To assist in the delivery of activities for participants, and to be responsible for ensuring that young people complete the required 30 hours of social planning and action following their Week 2 workshops.
• To act as liaison during the NCS programme for young people aged 16-17 and their parents/carers with NCS.
• To resolve minor issues on a daily basis; to ensure that the Wave Coordinator or NCS Project Manager is aware of all safeguarding issues.

NCS Assistant Team Leader
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
• To be responsible for up to 15 young people in a team; to provide the supervision, motivation and inspiration to help your team succeed and enjoy the NCS experience.
• To keep your team of NCS young people focussed and on track with the programme.
• To act as liaison during the NCS programme for young people aged 16-17 and their parents/carers with NCS.
• To resolve minor issues on a daily basis; to ensure that the Team Leader or Wave Coordinator is aware of all safeguarding issues.

Summer 2018 Programme Dates.
As there are 5 different NCS programmes running through Club Doncaster Foundation this summer there are various different working options to apply for. When you complete the application form you will need to state your availability and date preferences. You will not be guaranteed your first choice but we always strive to accommodate preferences where possible.
All programmes run Monday to Friday with weekends off.

Each programme will have an Induction night before the start that you will be required to work. There will also be opportunities for more work before the programme start dates if you are available, at recruitment and taster events leading up to the summer.
There will also be two training days/evenings that you will need to attend before you can work on the NCS programme. All NCS specific training will be provided to you by Club Doncaster Foundation.
