Northamptonshire Sport is a leading physical activity, health and wellbeing charity based in Northamptonshire, delivering national initiatives locally. About the role
You will be responsible for leading and managing the Sport England Place Expansion programme across Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work with partners from across the two Place Partnerships and the wider system, to drive change, ensure accountability whilst coordinating community level co-production and interventions to engage communities in active lifestyles.
About you
We are looking for a highly effective passionate leader with experience of developing positive relationships with people at all levels. You must have experience in project management, setting strategy, managing budgets, working collaboratively across sectors with a range of stakeholder to develop and deliver a shared purpose in communities to reduce inequalities and increase activity levels.
The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of system change and using place based / asset-based approaches to engage communities, along with experience of securing positive outcomes for the target communities or groups. You must also have experience of using community insights, evaluation and learning to inform the development of community-led programme and projects.
Highly proficient at relationship management, both at system leadership level but also in place with communities, demonstrating excellent communication skills. We are looking for a problem solver, critical thinker with a curious mindset, with the ability to capture and share ideas and learning. We also welcome those who can bring their own unique skills to the organisation. You will ensure that all policies and procedures relating to health and safety, safeguarding, and equal opportunities are met and adhered to.
