Foyle Foundation: Main Grants Scheme

Social and community welfare organisations, whose overall purpose is not Arts or Learning, will not normally be supported under the Main Grants Scheme. Small and Community organisations with a turnover under £150,000 per annum can be considered through our Small Grants Scheme (separate guidelines available on the website). Small charities may be more suitable for consideration under this scheme, even if their core remit is the Arts or Learning.

Please note that competition is intense; we receive many more applications than we are able to fund.

Planned Completion of the Main Grants Scheme

The Foyle Foundation will complete its grant giving programme in 2025, thereby marking 25 years of giving to the fields of the Arts, Learning, Community Small Grants, State Schools Libraries and formerly Health.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL STOP ACCEPTING NEW APPLICATIONS TO THE MAIN GRANTS SCHEME (INCLUDING BUILDING PROJECTS APPLICATIONS FOR LESS THAN £75K) ON 31 JANUARY 2025.

FOR CAPITAL REQUESTS £75K AND OVER WE WILL CLOSE FOR STAGE ONE ENQUIRIES ON 31 MAY 2024. NOTE THAT IF YOU THEN PROGRESS TO A FULL STAGE TWO APPLICATION, WE WILL CLOSE FOR APPLICATIONS ON 30 JUNE 2024.

Applications can continue to be submitted at anytime up to the final cut off dates noted above. Please also note that we can only consider applications for projects (and funding periods) which will be completed before the end of 2025.
