Join us for an immersive, behind-the-scenes tour of Aire Park
Our guided walk will begin at 5pm in front of the iconic Tetley Brewery Headquarters, from where we'll step into the story of Aire Park and journey through the current completed phases of this landmark development. Led by Andrew Sellars Vastint's Project Manager, alongside Phillip Porter Studio Director at Planit, Michael Westlake Director at Supervene Architects and Ryan Horsman Commercial Director at Palmer Landscapes. this is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the developer, designers and delivery team who have brought this area of Leeds to life.
As we move through the site, our hosts will share the vision for Aire Park, unpack the design intent, and reveal how initial ideas were translated into a physical reality by the landscape construction team. This is an opportunity to understand not just what was delivered, but how—including the challenges faced and solutions found along the way. With perspectives from development, master planning, landscape architecture and technical delivery, there will be plenty of time to ask questions and dive into the details around design longevity, biodiversity, climate resilience and maintenance.
We'll conclude the walk at our reception venue, Holy Trinity Church on Boar Lane where networking and refreshments will be hosted by representatives from the Active Partnerships Network, Tom Owen from Van den Berk Nurseries, and the Yorkshire and Humber Branch of the Landscape Institute. The evening will open with short contributions from Carolin Göhler FLI, President, Landscape Institute and the Active Partnerships Network, setting the scene for conversation and connection.
This final session is also a chance to reflect on the day's learning, share inspiration from partner projects and practices, and engage in a wider discussion across our sectors. As planning policy continues to evolve, what do we need to champion to secure the best outcomes for health, environment, spaces and places? How can we strengthen the connections between spatial design, wellbeing and climate resilience?
Above all, this is an inclusive space—to contribute to the conversation, celebrate our partners' work, and ensure that voices beyond the main conference arenas are heard and valued.
