Tackling Racism in Sport
Sport Leeds invites local grassroots sport clubs to join us in challenging racism and creating an inclusive and safe sporting environment for all. Our goal is to address racial inequalities that hinder people from engaging in sport and physical activity, whether as participants, volunteers, coaches, or spectators.

Tackling Racism in Sport
Our speakers will discuss regional approaches, share insights from a club known for its inclusivity, and provide guidance for your club to commit to anti-racism.
We are dedicated to supporting community sports organisations in their journey towards being anti-racist.
Clubs are asked to read about the commitment to tackle racism here and join over 100 organisations who have signed the pledge and put a plan in place. The commitment was created by the Yorkshire and Humber Anti-Racism in Sport Group which is made up from organisations that came together to make a difference
Our guest speakers include:
Nigel Harrison, CEO of Yorkshire Sport Foundation
Claire Blue and Wan Abdullah from Holbeck Moor FC
Becca Gallagher, Development Manager - Sport at Yorkshire Sport Foundation
All clubs and community organisations from across South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire are invited to take part in this session.
