Everybody Active is a partnership consisting of organisations which have committed to making Kirklees a more active, healthier, place to live and work.
The aspirations of the Everybody Active strategy are high; believing everyone within Kirklees should be able to access and enjoy the benefits of being physically active and for it to become a habit for life for everyone.
Each partner organisation shares the vision
"By 2020 everyone in Kirklees will be physically active through work, play, sport, travel or leisure".
The Everybody Active Board consists of senior strategic leaders from a variety of organisations, determined to play a key role in:
- Connecting;
- Challenging;
- Making things happen; and
- Promoting the benefits of being active by influencing key decision makers on the positive role that physical activity can play in making Kirklees healthier and happier.
What we do:
- Raise awareness about the benefits of being active
- Making sure Kirklees benefits from any emerging opportunities
- Monitor the impact being made towards making Kirklees more active
