Sheffield Giants American Football

Run by volunteers with a proven track record of achievement in their chosen industry or field, the Club is a professionally-run entity with the infrastructure in place to allow for inclusivity and to meet performance expectations.

Since inception in 2008 the Club has generated a number of international-standard players at every level. Some have gone on to represent Team GB in both European and World Championships across Adult Contact, Flag, Student, Women and Youth levels.

In summer 2016 the Club sought to better its investment into the future of the sport at grass-roots level with a re-brand, where the name Giants was chosen after over 2,000 people participated in a public vote, with over 180 different names suggested.

The Club intends to continue to work with local schools, colleges and universities, introducing the sport of American Football to a wider community. The Club has particularly supported the growth of local women's sport, providing coaching to the Hallam Women's Flag team and helping them to achieve 3rd place in the National Championships in only their second year of existenc
