About Methley Striders
Methley Striders is a vibrant running club based in Methley, Leeds, established in April 2017. Since its inception with just three members, it has grown to over 100 enthusiastic runners. The club is dedicated to promoting inclusivity, offering a supportive environment for all running abilities, whether you're a beginner or an experienced marathon runner. Methley Striders actively engages with the local community through initiatives like litter-picking and gardening projects. In recognition of its contributions, it was awarded 1st place for Community Project of the Year and 3rd place for Club of the Year at the England Athletics Yorkshire and Humber Regional Volunteer awards in 2023/24.
