Huddersfield Climbing Centre

Our climbing hall is in the newly built Huddersfield Leisure Centre; it's a great place to climb, meet new people and socialise. With 25 climbing lines split between lead climbing and top-rope climbs, there is plenty to keep you going.

Roped Climbing

Our main lead wall is an impressive 12.5 meters high, providing a wide range of fantastic climbing lines of all shapes and sizes, specially designed to cater for climbers of all abilities. We re-set all our routes regularly to make sure there is always something new to try.

Bouldering

Alongside roped climbing, bouldering, or climbing without ropes over a crash mat, is a distinct area of climbing in its own right. Each move between handholds is designed to test and climbs are known as problems, designed to be solved!

Huddersfield Climbing Centre offers a dedicated bouldering area, so there is plenty to do even if you don't fancy taking to the ropes.

Anyone from the age of 5 can come and have a go at bouldering, but under 18's must be accompanied by an adult unless they hold a Blue, Green or Yellow Card.

Kids

Huddersfield Climbing Centre runs regular kids' activities, including Kids' Clubs, family experiences, and is a great birthday party idea too! Anyone over the age of 5 years old can come and have a climb with us, so if you want a fun activity session for your kids, their friends or a fun day out for the family, you're in the right place!

Climbing is a great way for kids to develop fitness, communication skills whilst building confidence.

Food & Drinks

The on-site cafe, operated by family-run Churchill Catering, offers healthy hot and cold snacks, meals, confectionery and refreshments. If you're here to watch the kids, you can take advantage of the Free WiFi availability to catch up on emails. Even better, KAL Card holders can enjoy 10% off everything produced in the Cafe kitchens!

The cafe also offer a catering option for birthday party groups and on site corporate events. For the Kids, after they have scaled a few walls and swung on a rope they can get together for a buffet of snacks and drinks to get their energy back!

Our opening hours are the same as our climbing centres, making us available for all your climbing equipment & clothing needs much later than other stores.
