About Fell And Rock Climbing Club
The Fell and Rock Climbing Club, established in 1906, is dedicated to promoting fell walking and rock climbing, especially in the scenic English Lake District. With a vibrant community of around 1,100 members, the club organizes a variety of meets both in the UK and internationally, providing access to seven exclusive huts (five in the Lake District and two in Scotland). The club also publishes an array of climbing guides and literature focused on the Lake District. Notably, it has always welcomed both men and women as members, making it a pioneering organization in inclusivity for climbers and hikers.
