About Boccia Sheffield

Boccia Sheffield is a community run Boccia club, which aims to give Boccia players a chance to train and compete at competition level. We see ourselves as one big ‘Boccia Family.’

Boccia Sheffield was originally set up as the competition arm of Sheffield Smashers Boccia Club, we welcome new players to the club and provide them with high quality coaching. We also encourage assistants and supporters to become familiar with the rules and to participate in our training sessions.

In recognition of the talent and commitment within the club, in the 2015 Boccia England Awards, Boccia Sheffield was awarded Club of the Year. We have also achieved Level 2 Accreditation, which means that we operate to the highest standards required by Boccia England.

We are keen to develop our Boccia Players. We enter team competitions, such as the National League and individual competitions, such as the Boccia Open. We also have very strong links with the England Talent Pathway (ETP) and strive to give players the chance to become part of this. We are supported by qualified coaches and referees.

Our approach is one that combines both competitiveness and fun. We want our players to be committed to developing their skills, so that they are ready for competitions. We also want them to enjoy playing Boccia and to have fun whilst socialising with friends.
