About This Programme
Cardio Tennis is a series of tennis-based drills and activities played to up-tempo music on a tennis court. It does not require tennis skills, but is all about keeping your heart rate up, burning calories and having fun. Cardio Tennis is for anyone of any skill level who wants to get fit and have a go at tennis, It doesn't matter whether the ball goes in or out, no-one will be judging your skills. Music is played during the session to help create a high energy atmosphere and add motivation.
Your trained Cardio Tennis instructor will lead you through a 60 minute class consisting of a short warm up and cool down either side of a 40 minute full body workout.
A typical class consists of:
Warm up- Some dynamic stretching, skills and drills to get the body warm and mind sharp before beginning the workout.
Aerobic Session- Your chance to hit shots, including forehands, backhands, serves and volleys, all mixed with a variety of fitness activities
Tennis Section- Consists of fun tennis games in teams.
Cool Down- Time to recover and stretch
