The Sports Development Officer - Performance will join our team with the purpose of overseeing and delivering effective performance activities for DMU students. Utilising the DMUsport player pathway to develop the sport experience and improve competitive opportunities for our students, specifically focussed on Sport Scholars.
The role will work as part of the DMUsport team to help create and maintain a performance culture that supports and enhances the student experience, focusing on personal, academic and sporting development. Continuing the student-athlete progression support to students wishing to progress along the pathway.
This role's focus is on the continued delivery of the Sport Scholarship programme, including delivering lifestyle sessions to DMU Sport Scholars. In addition to coordinating performance programmes such as BUCS and Varsity by working closely with the Sport Performance Manager. This role will also line manage the Performance Sport Coordinator.
This role will also support DMUsport clubs with club development, performance development activities; these may include recruitment, coach development, resource allocation and collaborating across departments.
This post is a part time (25 hours per week) fixed term maternity cover for twelve months or until the return of the post holder, whichever is soonest.
