About EDI & Sustainability Manager
A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics for an EDI & Sustainability Manager.
The Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Sustainability Manager will lead, and play an active role in, the creation, activation, and management of a range of insight-led projects, programmes and policies designed to help more people from underrepresented groups across England to enjoy the physical and mental benefits that regular participation in athletics and running brings as participants, performers, coaches, officials, and volunteers. The Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Sustainability Manager will provide support, guidance, support and education to colleagues, key stakeholders, and wider partners on the inclusive and sustainable delivery of athletics and running opportunities.
The role will sit with the CEO of the organisation and will be a key person in leading the organisation in the EDI and sustainability areas of work by informing and influencing policy and programme design, and the wider sport in achieving its vision 'for athletes to become an inclusive sport where everyone belongs and can flourish' and implementing the sustainability strategy.
Therefore, we are looking for an individual with demonstrable experience of reaching, engaging and positively influencing the participation/behaviour of underrepresented groups within sport and/or physical activity, who is able to work strategically, creating beneficial national links to enhance accessibility to athletics and running for people from underrepresented groups and has experience of organising and managing projects, preferably within a community sport context.
