West Yorkshire Disability Sport and Physical Activity Network
This free morning is an opportunity for anyone who works or volunteers in disability sport in West Yorkshire to come together to share information and network. There will be a hot topic for part of the morning on the Annual Disability and Activity Survey 2022-23 from the Activity Alliance with a Key Findings presentation by Paul Downes, Strategic Partnerships Advisor (Yorkshire & Humber) at the Activity Alliance:
- The fourth annual survey since 2019 tracks changes in disabled people's perceptions and experiences of sport and activity.
- The topics cover 7 themes – Please read about these themes in the report before the meeting: https://www.activityalliance.org.uk/how-we-help/research/annual-survey
- After going through the slides Paul will facilitate a discussion on the below questions, so please come along with your thoughts and feedback.
- What's the most interesting or important point you've heard from the survey?
- How have you / how could you use the findings in your own work?
- Does any specific recommendation or theme feel more important or aligned to your work?
- What role is there for Activity Alliance to support the sector further?
- What should the next year of the project do differently – what questions would you like answers or data on?
