Activity Information

This Zoom class is suitable for newcomers to meditation as well as more experienced meditators. If you are a regular practitioner of the studio and you have lost your income due to the crisis, please email me and I will send you a code for a free class. A deeply relaxing class for the mind and body. We practise some gentle movements for the neck, shoulders, lower back & hips to make sitting in a meditation pose easier. A chair can be used if sitting crossed legged is not possible. You will learn a variety of meditation techniques from Raja Yoga & Buddhism as well as micro meditations to bring you into the present moment outside of a formal practise. All of the techniques are best put into practise at home, even 5 mins every day can help. Over time your 'natural state' of being becomes easier to access and part of your daily life. The effects of stress can lead to many illnesses within the body/mind. Meditation connects us to the parasympathetic nervous system where the body can come to healing. Meditation is also used to look into the nature of your own reality, much insight comes from a quieter mind. Using breath work, guided meditation, some gentle movements for releasing tension, finishing with a Yoga Nidra journey. You will leave the class feeling present, balanced, rejuvenated & relaxed. This class is also suitable for pregnant students.
